Open to all ages and especially fun for families, Zeppos is where the ‘Palouse comes to play.’  We have reserved lanes for no host bowling.  This is a great chance to get out of the sun and have some air conditioned fun.  In addition to bowling Zeppos has an arcade, casino and restaurant with sports bar.  We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there and introducing our families! You read that right – PHS is no longer on “Larry and Hall” but on the recently named “Greyhound Way!” This tour will be the last time that Pullman High will be seen as we once knew it (minus the people pit). Pullman has passed a major bond that will provide a significant renovation of the school.  Plans are currently on display and will be available for you to view.  Our very own Mike Crow or Shane Emerson will be leading a tour and giving us an overview of the planned changes.

Here is that link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/251163148293375/

It would be helpful if, in addition to our invitation, you individually contact those you really want to visit with and make sure they commit to coming.  We all need to reach out to those not on FACEBOOK or those we communicate with regularly and let them know how much it would mean to us to share the weekend with them.

We are aware some of our classmates are under financial stress to the point they would be deterred from attending.  We will be providing an option, for those that are able, to contribute to a sponsorship fund. This option will be available on the registration form. Anyone in need of assistance should contact Chris Meshisnek Piraino, our treasurer, at cpiraino25@msn.com. Chris has agreed to handle all requests to maintain privacy.

The Class of ’63′s 50th Anniversary Reunion

August 9-11, 2013

Dear member of the Pullman High School Class of ‘63, amazingly, we are approaching the “50th” gathering of our class. How did we get here?!

Reunion Plans: After some preliminary discussion on www.myfamily.com, we have concluded the following:

Reunion communications: The easiest form of communication is email. An initial reunion email blast went out last summer, and was followed with another email. A postal notice was sent to those in the class that haven’t shared an email address with us, or are ignoring us. So, if you have an email address just drop John Harrington a line at johnharrington@gci.net. Otherwise just mail the postcard that was enclosed with the postal notice.  [Be warned: Our plan is to be tenacious and keep hounding (or Grey-hounding) you until we know you got the message.]

Dates for the Reunion:  August 9-11, 2013. Yep, those dates are firm.
Schedule of Events:  Stay tuned as we firm up our plans!

Reunion Venues: We contacted the venues from our 40th reunion. Here’s a summary of research:

Gladish Community Center – View Room (Our library) is available in August.
Hilltop Inn: – 80 new rooms are being added and a new restaurant being built. $16 for brunch is available and a group rate for 15 or more rooms @ $99.50 per night.
We will continue to check our venues from the 40th since they seemed popular, and see what it would take to lock in the “larger” components of the reunion.
Please let us know your thoughts. Please visit www.myfamily.com to keep up with our class and planning for our events. If you have lost your user name and password send me an email and we will correct that difficulty.
We need to hear from everyone—even if you decide not to attend the 50th.
Check out our link to the PHS ’63 Classreport site: http://www.classreport.org/usa/wa/pullman/phs/1963/

Thanks and Go Hounds!
